Texas Woman Sues Anti-Abortion Activists
Recycled from WomanEdit — What are my abortion rights? Laws in each state.

A Texas woman is using a state law to sue anti-abortion activists who allegedly ordered abortion pills in the state, sparking controversy over the use of the law.

A Texas woman has filed a lawsuit against four members of Students for Life of America, alleging they ordered abortion medication on their phones in March 2026 outside of Space Center Houston. The story was first reported by texastribune.org.

The lawsuit alleges that the activists had no intention of using the pills themselves, but rather to test the state's abortion ban laws. The Woman and Child Protection Act (House Bill 7) prohibits providing an 'abortion-inducing drug' to or from anyone in the state of Texas.
